Hello everyone! Thank you so much for taking the time to scope out my handcrafted crystal & copper jewelry - and of course being interested in learning more about me. I am a Colorado native and was raised in Grand Junction, CO and moved to Denver, CO at the ripe age of 19. For the past 8 years living in the "big city" I've immersed myself within the art community more so as a lover of art and creativity rather than as an artist myself.
I paint, wood burn, sculpt, make jewelry - really anything and everything that allows me to create and sort of "lose my mind" for a little bit. The art I created was mostly for myself and some close friends and I didn't think I had it in me to pursue art (my passion) full time. So I was in Sales & Digital Marketing for the better part of my time in Denver. Building websites and helping other entrepreneurs grow their business was very gratifying and allowed me to create beautiful online storefronts as well as connect with people from all walks of life. I learned a lot from each of these people but I still lacked a sense of fulfillment.
I've always had a passion for crystals since I was little. As a kid, I would be hunting the play ground for pretty rocks to take home to my mom. One day (I think I was about 6 or 7) my mom came home with two matching crystal point necklaces and I was in awe at their beauty and felt an immediate attraction to just hold them tight in my hands. My mom told me that the necklaces were powerful, magical, crystals that when worn will connect us. We both wore our crystal point necklaces every day and whenever I missed her - or she missed me, we would rub the stone and be connected through spirit.
Flash forward about 15 years I was going through a major negative time in my life. A betrayal of a close friend, a break up, hating my job and where I was currently at in life, and a toxic living situation. I partied a lot to get my mind off of the mundane day to day my life was turning into. At this time, a friend re-introduced me to crystals. While unpacking my belongings to the new home I just purchased, he started placing different types of crystals in key areas around my house to help with the different negative energy that was circulating around me. I instantly felt relief and a light started to glow in my spirit.
I continued with my digital marketing career and scored an amazing opportunity to manage the website of a major golf apparel brand where I poured my heart and soul into my work for close to two years. Through out my time there - while I loved the work I was doing, I was getting bullied by a colleague that I tried so hard to befriend. Our managers were belittling to the employees and the energy within company was very soul crushing. There was a moment during Mercury Retrograde that I was sitting in my car crying on break and thinking about all the bad things going on at work and the true purpose of retrograde and what it's offering us.
Retrograde is a time where you feel like everything is falling apart or just not working together properly. It's a time where you need to step back and look at the bigger picture. Reassess your goals and your progress in reaching them. At that exact moment I realized where my true passion in life lies and that is creating beautiful pieces of artwork that hold a purpose in a fellow beings life. To offer all of the positive energy and friendship that I can possibly bare.
From that point on I have dedicated my art to my love of crystals and all of the powerful spiritual vibrations they have gifted to me through out my own spiritual healing jewelry. I can only hope that my creations bring you the peace you are looking for and help you manifest your intentions in life. Mother nature has gifted us with these truly amazing stones to help you in different aspects of your life. Embrace the energy these crystals have to offer and don't forget you are a powerful force in this world.
